Racionalno udobje
Prostori so zasnovani pametno in racionalno; kuhinjski otok omogoča več delovne površine, dostop v kuhinjo iz vseh strani in odprtost prostora.
/ Rational comfort
The house where the guiding principle was warm Alpine atmosphere and modernization of rooms for greater comfort is set in an idyllic Alpine landscape with wonderful views of the mountains.
On the outside, we preserved the look of the cottage and the gabarit. Its new windows on lightweight dark wood frame the peaks from Mojstrovka to Jalovec. The car roof imitates the silhouette of mountaintops, a necessary addition due to amount of snow in the winter.
In the pleasant interior, the goal of renovation was to upgrade the functionality: the floor plan was rearranged to three bedrooms with two bathrooms and a playroom / guestroom. We preserved the wooden construction and panelling, insulating and lining the walls with plasterboard panels and white paintwork that optically made the space bigger.
The spaces are smart and rational: the kitchen island offers more workspace and provides access to the kitchen from all sides. We renovated the old furnace and changed its shape, allowing one to make him/herself warm on top of the furnace on a cold winter day. We added a fire door that enables one to watch the flickering of flames.
We took advantage of every corner; in the bedrooms we installed large beds with storage space beneath them, in niches or on shelves beside them. The bedrooms get a new dimension with the addition of sky windows, allowing the observation of the starry sky above the beds.
